Our commitment to inclusion

You + I is a small team making organic drinks in Glasgow. We want it to be a fair and inclusive place to work, and we want to play our part in more equitable communities. This page sets out what we commit to and what we do.

Our commitment

We are committed to a workplace where everyone is treated with dignity and respect and has the chance to do their best work. We will not tolerate discrimination, harassment or bullying, and we want people of every background to feel they belong here.

We follow the principles of justice, equity, diversity and inclusion in how we recruit, pay, train and support our team, and in how we work with suppliers and customers.

What we do

  • Fair recruitment. We advertise roles openly and judge applicants on clear, consistent criteria.
  • Fair pay. We are an accredited Real Living Wage employer, and we review pay regularly.
  • Training. We provide diversity, equity and inclusion training for the team and refresh it regularly.
  • Inclusive communications. We aim to use respectful, accessible and representative language and imagery.
  • A supportive workplace. We offer flexibility where we can, and paid leave beyond the legal minimum, including a birthday day off.
  • Our supply chain and partners. We keep diversity and inclusion in mind when we choose and work with suppliers and partners.

How we measure it

Once a year we invite every team member to share diversity information. It is voluntary and anonymous, with a "prefer not to say" option on every question. We only look at the combined results, we hold the data securely, and we never use it in decisions about individuals.

How we hold ourselves to account

A director is responsible for this commitment. We review it, and our results, at least once a year, and we will tell you how we are getting on.

Raise a concern

If something is not right, you can tell us through our Raise a concern page.
