The range
Kombucha: a sparkling living tea, fermented with French oak and whole leaf tea. Five flavours: Original, Ginger, Black Cherry, Lime Sea Salt and Lemon Lavender.
Botanical Tea: brewed with organic teas and botanicals, with flavour profiles built around function. Three flavours: White Chamomile, Sencha Green and Rooibos Rose.
How it is made
You + I kombucha is a sparkling living tea. It is fermented with French oak, whole leaf Assam tea and billions of live bacteria, which gives it a woodsy, full-bodied character rather than the sharp vinegar note common to the category. It is never pasteurised and never made from concentrate, so the drink stays raw and alive in the bottle. Sediment and cloudiness are normal and expected.
Everything is produced and packaged in small batches at the company's own brewery in Glasgow. What sets the process apart is precision: refined methods and specialised equipment rather than kitchen fermentation.
Press coverage
“Modern British Masters of Kombucha”
David Williams, The Guardian
“My favourite flavoured kombucha of all the ones I tried.”
Fiona Beckett, The Guardian
“Fine, delicate bubbles give a gentle burst in each sip, and stay stuck to the glass as it’s swirled – if it were a wine, you’d say it ‘has legs’. On the palate, it’s oaky and full-bodied.”
Sarah Lienard and Alice Johnston, BBC Good Food
“The first time I tried You + I kombucha, I gasped and stared dumbfounded at the bottle. It’s the most delicious, most soda-ish fermented drink I’ve ever had.”
Sarah Manavis, The Observer
Why the name
You = the community and customers. I = the makers, crafting every batch with intention and care. Together, something greater: a shared moment, a connection, a kombucha made for us both.
