You + I kombucha is now on Ocado

You + I kombucha is now on Ocado. Ginger and Lime Sea Salt are the first two flavours to land, and if you have been waiting for a way to get us into the weekly shop rather than ordering a case, this is it.

It has taken nine years to write that first sentence, so forgive us a little throat clearing before we get to the useful part.

Who are You + I?

We started brewing in 2017 in a railway arch on the south side of Glasgow. Arch 9, to be precise, which is where every bottle is still made today. In the beginning we sold to a handful of local cafes who were willing to take a chance on a kombucha nobody had heard of. Since then we have ended up on the shelves of more than 500 independent retailers across the UK and Ireland, including Harrods and Selfridges, and BBC Good Food chose us as one of the best kombuchas to buy in 2026.

We are a certified B Corp, SALSA approved, and a Real Living Wage employer. Our kombucha is certified organic with the Soil Association. None of that changes how the drink tastes, but it tells you something about how it gets made.

Which You + I flavours are on Ocado?

Two to begin with.

Ginger. Proper ginger heat rather than a suggestion of it. It is the one people reach for as a grown up soft drink, and it works beautifully anywhere you would otherwise use ginger ale.

Lime Sea Salt. Sharp, savoury and a little bit moreish. If you have ever wanted the shape of a margarita without the tequila, this is the bottle.

If you want the full range, including Original, Lemon Lavender and Black Cherry, you can still build your own case of 12 on our site and pick exactly the mix you want.

What makes it taste different?

Three things, mostly.

The first is the tea. We brew with whole leaf tea rather than the dust and fannings that go into most commercial kombucha. It costs more and it takes longer, and it is the single biggest reason ours tastes the way it does.

The second is the oak. We ferment on French oak, which rounds off the sharp edges you sometimes get from a young kombucha and leaves something softer underneath the acidity.

The third is what we do not do. We never heat treat it. Pasteurising kombucha makes it easier to ship and store, and it flattens the flavour in the process. Ours is raw and unpasteurised, which means what reaches you is what came out of the tank.

Where else can you find us?

Alongside Ocado, we are in more than 500 independent shops, delis and cafes across the UK and Ireland. If your local stocks us, please keep buying it there, because those are the shops that backed us when we were an unknown brand with a hand drawn label.

You can also order direct from us. A case of 12 is yours to build however you like, delivery across mainland UK is free, and a subscription saves you 10% and turns up without you having to think about it.

Thank you

Getting onto Ocado is not the kind of thing that happens because of one good week. It happens because a lot of people bought a bottle in a corner shop, or stuck a case on a subscription, or told a friend it was worth trying. That is genuinely how we got here, and we are grateful for it.

Go and put us in your trolley. We will keep brewing in the arch.
