Scottish Design Awards Winner

With a shoestring budget we worked really hard to build up our company from it's humble beginnings in late 2017. From a standing start we gained an amazingly loyal base of customers. One of our biggest worries was that rebranding would lead to confusion and customers would think You + I was a completely new company and not the new and improved Clever Kombucha.

We've always been interested in design and have been admirers of Freytag Anderson's work for some time so they were our first port of call when the time came for a brand refresh.

When we first met with Freytag Anderson we explained that we wanted to keep our minamilist and clean aesthetic and some of our existing design elements such as the triangle cut-out in our labels and our current bottle style.

They got to work and over the course of 12 months they created and refined a design we couldn't have been happier with. It was instantly recognisable as ‘us’ but with less sterility and with the help of hand drawn line illustrations from Ryn Frank the new branding was more approachable and friendly. . The perfect fit for our new brand name and ethos!

Fast forward a few months and Clever Kombucha seems like a distant memory.  We have only received positive feedback on our new branding and our company continues to go from strength to strength.

The icing on the cake was when the rebrand won Best Packaging and Best Craft Design awards at the Scottish Design Awards on July 15, 2021.

This final piece of validation from industry experts is a testament to the patience, understanding and skill of Ryn Frank and the team at Freytag Anderson.
