Meet the Team: Fraser

Meet You + I’s head brewer Fraser 👋. Fraser joined us when it was just Kelsey and Alan running the show back in 2019 in their circa 70’s commercial kitchen in Glasgow’s East end.

What is your role at You + I and what does a typical work day look like for you?
I am the head brewer and a typical day for me would involve getting the liquids ready to bottle, so brewing tea, checking on ferments, filtering finished booch or making a batch of botanical tea or barley water.

What do you enjoy most about working at You + I?
I've really enjoyed being able to grow with the business and being able to hit new milestones and overcoming the challenges involved in continually increasing production.

What is your favourite You + I drink?
It changes pretty regularly but at the moment I can get enough of the Sencha botanical tea.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
I've got two sons, the youngest has just turned 1 so my favourite past-time at the moment is uninterrupted sleep, ideally for more than 5 hours at a time.

What was the last song you listened to?
We listen to BBC 6music religiously in the brewey and as I've typed this they've just played Japan - Life in Tokyo
